American driver steps up to Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires
SASKATOON, SK (January 25, 2022) – Exclusive Autosport is proud to announce their continued relationship with 21-year-old American Christian Brooks into the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires for the 2022 season. Brooks has run with EA for the past two years in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship, capturing three wins, seven podiums, and three poles on the first level of the Road to Indy. Brooks capped the 2021 season by making his Indy Pro 2000 debut at the season finale at Mid-Ohio, where he performed extremely well in scoring a pair of top-five finishes to help Exclusive Autosport win the Team Championship. Christian is extremely comfortable in the Indy Pro 2000 car, which features a significant increase in performance, and this sets exciting expectations and promise for a successful 2022 season.
“What an honor to be back behind the wheel of the Exclusive Autosport Indy Pro 2000 machine,” said Brooks. “The team had such a great season last year and I’m ready to continue the success. Now it’s head down until St. Petersburg next month!”
“We are pleased to welcome Christian back with Exclusive Autosport for 2022 for a third season,” enthused Michael Duncalfe, Team Principal. “Christian got a taste of the Indy Pro 2000 last year at the final round at Mid-Ohio and performed really well. The car suits his driving style, and I am confident we will come out of the gates strong at St. Petersburg. We are really looking forward to getting the season underway and going to work to defend the team championship.”
Exclusive Autosport continues its extensive off-season testing with Christian, his recently announced teammate Louis Foster, and other 2022 prospects at scheduled events in the southern states, ahead of the official Road to Indy Spring Training event at Homestead-Miami Speedway on February 14-15, 2022. The new season officially kicks off at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in Florida on February 25-27, running alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
